The village has about 2500 inhabitants and belongs to the historically very important municipality of Llucmajor. Although the place is only 20 minutes by car from the airport, near Palma de Mallorca, it is considered to be little developed for tourism. Sa Torre is right by the sea and the mostly wooded interior is particularly beautiful. The green landscape around Llucmajor and Sa Torre is ideal for hiking, cycling and horse riding.
