The once eventful history of Sa Rapita is only present through the watchtower Son Duri, which is located directly at the harbor. The former fishing village, like many coastal towns in Mallorca, was often a victim of pirate attacks. Today tourists and locals come to Sa Rapita to enjoy the beauty of Mallorca's south coast. The village is away from the usual tourist flows and has therefore been able to retain its special charm. There are no huge bed centers here, but rather picturesque villas and fincas with a typical Spanish flair.
