Manacor enjoys city status and is also the third largest municipality on the Balearic island of Mallorca. Manacor is located in the east of Mallorca and is considered the agricultural center of this part of the island. With an area of around 260 km² and around 41,000 inhabitants, Manacor borders the municipality of Felanitx in the south, the municipality of Vilafranca de Bonany in the west, the municipality of Petra in the northwest and the municipality of Sant Llorenç in the northeast.
